Roseann Barr sheds new light on Michael Blosil's motive for suicide

Outspoken comedienne Roseanne Barr has taken to her controversial blog to slam the Mormon faith - insisting Marie Osmond's son Michael killed himself last Friday, not because he was depressed but because he was "gay".

Osmond's adopted 18 year old son Michael Blosil was found dead outside his Los Angeles apartment building last week. Michael left a suicide note reportedly before throwing his life off a balcony after failing to cope with a depression.

Andrew Koenig's Body Found in Vancouver

The body of Growing Pains star Andrew Koenig, who had been missing for nearly two weeks, was discovered in a Vancouver’s Stanley Park about noon, Vancouver police said. His body was found in a densely wooded area where it initially was unseen from the path. He had committed suicide. The park was known to be one of the actor's favorite spots when he lived in the city in the early '90s. Search and rescue teams had scoured the park Wednesday and found no evidence that Koenig had been there recently. "My son took his own life," his father, Walter Koenig said "The only other thing I want to say — I've already said what a great guy he was, and good human being — he was obviously in a lot of pain."

Andrew Koenig "Growing Pains" star, Depressed and Missing

  The parents of Andrew Koenig -- who has reportedly been missing for the past week -- described their son as suffering from depression and "not doing good" in the days leading up to his disappearance.

Judy and Walter Koenig (who played Pavel Chekov in the "Star Trek" series) last heard from Andrew on February 9. They say his cell phone is turned off and that they have learned the last time his phone received a text was on February 16 in Vancouver. They say he was last seen at a bakery in the Stanley Park area of Vancouver.

Kevin Federline says depression led to overeating

LOS ANGELES - Kevin Federline will be using VH1’s “Celebrity Fit Club: Boot Camp as a platform to share his battle with depression, weight gain and, probably, his relationship with ex-wife Britney Spears. He denies the rumors that he gained weight to secure a spot on the reality show. “They called me and they asked me if I wanted to do it and I had maybe 24 hours to decide because the show started taping the next day after that weekend,” he said. “It just couldn’t have come at a better time.”

Haiti rescue dogs suffer depression

Dogs just like human beings, do suffer from the occasional bout of depression. This is characterized by most of the same symptoms as humans: moping, lethargy, loss of appetite, weight loss, a chemical imbalance.

According to a member of one of the the South African teams that just returned from Haiti, the rescue dogs used in search-and-rescue operations became depressed by the devastation they witnesses in the aftermath of the 7.0 quake. "One of the challenges was the dogs did get depression...," Mark Louw told a media briefing by the Gift of the Givers (GotG) - a local disaster relief organization - in Johannesburg on Monday. He explained that while the dogs did feel rewarded whenever someone was found alive this seldom happened.
